What sizes of beds are available?
At Bensons for Beds, we offer a wide range of different bed types, each with their own styles, available in a

When it comes to working out how big your next bed should be, you can select from small single beds, single beds,
small double beds, double beds, king size beds and super king size beds.
A small single bed measures 2 feet 6 inches wide and 6 feet 3 inches long (75 x 190cm) and a single bed measures
3 feet wide by 6 feet 3 inches long (90 x 190cm). These beds are ideal for children, teenagers, guest rooms, small
bedrooms and anyone who is sleeping alone.
A small double bed is slightly wider than a standard single, measuring in at 3 feet wide by 6 feet 3 long (120 x
190cm).
If you share your bed with a partner, you might want to choose a standard double bed, which is 4 feet 6 inches
wide by 6 feet 3 inches long (135 x 190cm).
But if you would like the luxury of a bit more space, choose a king size bed frame at 5 feet wide by 6 feet 6
inches long (150 x 200cm) or a super king size bed, which is a generous 6 feet wide by 6 feet 6 inches long (180 x
200cm).
What size bed is right for me?
The right size bed for you can depend on factors including your age, how tall or large you are and your personal
preference. You should also consider the size of your room and the maximum floor space you have available.
If you share a bed with your partner, then a double bed is recommended as a minimum.
Doubles can sleep two adults comfortably. If floor space is limited, then a double bed will work great in your
bedroom. If you prefer to spread out and you have the room, then king bed frames offer the luxury of that little
bit extra sleeping space.
Super king size beds are our largest and most generous offering in terms of space. These are perfect if you are
taller, or you just like to starfish across the bed at night, without annoying your other half!
If you are an adult solo sleeper, then a double bed or a small double will give you plenty of room to spread out
comfortably. A small double bed is also a good option for a teenager’s bedroom.
If you are buying a bed for a child over 5 then you could consider a small single or a standard single bed. Small
single beds are great for toddlers, while single beds can see older children through to adulthood.
What types of bed frame are there?
Some of the most popular types of bed frame include divan beds, ottoman beds, TV beds, adjustable beds and

What is a divan bed?
A divan bed is one which has
storage drawers underneath it. So, if you are looking for extra storage space, then a divan bed could be the
perfect match for you.
Most divan beds have integrated storage drawers in the base of the bed. Ottoman beds also come with discreet
storage – simply lift up the mattress to discover an easy to access, mattress sized space for storing seasonal
clothing, additional bedding, towels and even shoes.

What is the biggest bed size?
The biggest bed size available at Bensons for Beds is a super king size bed. These beds measure 180 x 200cm and
have plenty of room for two adults to stretch out fully, without disturbing each other.
Super king size beds are great additions to large bedrooms and can be a real centrepiece in your interior décor.
